The linework is the element which you might say is most defining of artists such as Le Fleming. The ideas, technique and contextual elements are integral too, but it’s the linework and the language there in that punctuates the artists discourse.

The canvas is key to Le Fleming’s work. Choosing to paint on pre-existing objects such as car bonnets or old tin cans. Anything that is old and metal is considered, but particularly objects with typography or defects are of interest to him. The approach of appropriating the aesthetical elements as well as the inherent purpose of the object helps to provide a more comprehensive context. A suitable set of parameters to project an idea from.
